Orynyx Mindcrawler Fusion in RSL: The Short Version
Orynyx Mindcrawler is the newest Legendary fusion in Raid Shadow Legends: a Dark Elves Support with Magic affinity, built mainly for PvP. The published fusion calendar runs from October 22 to November 6, so as of November 1 the window is almost shut. This guide explains how the Raid Shadow Legends fusion works, what the champion actually does, and whether chasing him makes sense for your RSL account.
Event schedules can shift and the in-game timer is the only source of truth, so always check the fusion screen for the exact end time before you commit resources.
How this RSL fusion works
A fusion lets you craft a champion who cannot be pulled from shards. You earn fragments through a calendar of tournaments and events, build the ingredient champions up to the required level, and combine them before the countdown expires. Orynyx is described as a mixed (hybrid) fusion: instead of one tidy fragment pile, you work with several Epic ingredient champions, rank them up, ascend them, and then fuse. You cannot save summons for later, so everything has to be finished inside the window.
Fusion requirements
- Fragments: The schedule points to four Epic ingredient champions at 100 fragments each, roughly 400 in total. The published breakdown lists the ingredient as Primus Atalact, four copies of him. You can read about his kit in our Halloween champions guide and about his backstory in the Primus Atalact lore story. The calendar offers around 475 across tournaments and events, which leaves a small buffer. Confirm the exact numbers and the ingredient on the in-game fusion page.
- Ranking: The ingredients need to reach rank 5 and level 50. Plan on about 16 Rank 4 fodder champions (chickens) for the ranking steps, and feed them brews first if you want to save time.
- Ascension: The ingredients also need full ascension, which eats a sizeable stack of Greater and Superior potions in the relevant affinities. Exact counts depend on the ingredients, so check them in game before you start.
- Timing: Fragments, ranking, ascension and the final fuse must all land before the countdown ends, so keep an eye on the timer on your fusion page.
Where the fragments come from
Most of the calendar is made of familiar content: Dragon, Ice Golem, Fire Knight and Spider tournaments, Classic Arena Takedown, Champion Training, Gear Hunters, Gear Enhancement and two Summon Rushes. Most milestones pay around 25 fragments each, with a couple of larger payouts. The summon-heavy ones are Summon Rush I (starting October 23), Summon Rush II (October 27) and the Champion Chase Tournament (October 30), so players who saved shards for them are in the best shape.
If you are reading this late, the remaining events listed on the calendar include the Spider tournament, the second Classic Arena Takedown, Gear Hunters II and Gear Enhancement III, all wrapping up in the first days of November. November 1 also brings a double-drop boost for Dark Elves accessories in Spider's Den. As a rough benchmark, a 2,250-point Dragon or Ice Golem tournament has been estimated at around 2,200 to 2,400 energy, with Stage 20 Normal being the most energy-efficient route.
Orynyx Mindcrawler kit overview
Orynyx is a control champion. Instead of healing or shielding, he disrupts the enemy's turn order and cooldowns while speeding up his own team.
- Dreamfang (A1): Hits one enemy and cuts their Turn Meter by 10%. It applies a one-turn Sleep to a target that has a skill on cooldown caused by Orynyx.
- Clinging Webstorm (A2): Hits all enemies twice. The first hit can steal all enemy buffs and the second can apply Block Active Skills for 2 turns, each at a 75% chance. The cooldown is 5 turns, dropping to 3 when fully booked, and both chances reach 100% at max books.
- Mindcrawler (A3): Can add 3 turns to every enemy skill cooldown and fills all allied Turn Meters by 20%. It has a 75% chance (100% fully booked) and a 6-turn cooldown, or 4 turns when booked.
- Neuroskitter (Passive): Orynyx's own skills cannot be put on cooldown. Whenever an enemy tries to raise the cooldown of his skills or an ally's, he gains an Instant Turn. Only one copy triggers, and it does nothing while he is dead.
The build notes are straightforward. A2 and A3 are the skills you want books on, because the cooldown reductions turn them into repeatable control tools. Both depend on landing debuffs, so Accuracy matters against high-Resistance targets. Just as important, he brings no healing, revives or protective buffs, so he needs partners who cover those jobs.

Buy RSL AccountsIs the Orynyx Mindcrawler fusion worth it?
It depends on what you play. In the Arena, Orynyx is exciting: steal buffs, block active skills, delay enemy cooldowns and boost your own Turn Meters in a single turn. That makes him a strong fit for both fast teams and go-second teams, and especially strong against enemies that rely on cooldowns. For a dedicated Arena player, he is a real upgrade option, not just a collection piece.
PvE is less clear. Guides suggest he could help in wave-based content such as Doom Tower, Cursed City and Faction Wars, and there is talk of tricks against the Eternal Dragon, but those uses are speculative and depend on boss immunities. Treat PvE as a bonus, not the reason to spend your resources. If you would rather start with a developed roster than build one from scratch, take a look at our pumped RSL accounts.
Who should skip it
You can safely pass on this fusion if any of the following describes you:
- Clan Boss and Hydra players: His kit is built around PvP turn-order control, so it is not a Clan Boss answer. Compare options in our Clan Boss tier list and Hydra team guide before you spend anything.
- Players who are far behind on fragments: With only days left on the calendar, missing most of the 400-plus fragments usually means the fusion cannot be completed.
- Resource-thin accounts: Ranking, ascending and gearing four ingredients is expensive. If it would drain your potions and fodder, the opportunity cost may hurt more than the new champion helps.
- Players who need healing or revives: Orynyx does neither, and he cannot carry a team alone.
Orynyx Mindcrawler Fusion FAQ
Is Orynyx Mindcrawler good for Clan Boss?
No. He is a PvP specialist, so Clan Boss teams will usually do better with champions built for damage, defence or boss-specific debuffs.
What does Neuroskitter do?
It stops Orynyx's skills from being put on cooldown, and it gives him an Instant Turn whenever an enemy tries to increase the cooldown of his or an ally's skills. Only one copy of the passive activates.
Can I still do the fusion on November 1?
The published calendar runs until November 6, but the real limit is the countdown on your fusion page. If you already hold most of the fragments and can finish ranking and ascension in time, it is possible. If not, start planning for the next one.
Does Orynyx need Accuracy and books?
Yes to both. His control effects depend on beating enemy Resistance, and book upgrades shorten the cooldowns of A2 and A3 while raising their land chances to 100%.
