Mobile Legends accounts are commonly bound to a Moonton account or a social login. Whoever controls whatever the account is bound to can recover it, regardless of who is playing on it.
Ask exactly what it is bound to and whether you receive that too. An account handed over as "just log in with these details" and nothing else is a rental with extra steps.
What the price is made of
Skins do most of the work, and specifically the ones that are no longer obtainable — collector and limited-event skins that cannot be bought today at any price.
